Consistency
Solid surface is composed of minerals, acrylic
resins and colors that combine for an almost exact
look in a broad range of colors and designs.
While it offers the look of natural stone, the
manufacturing process ensures consistency
for very good color matching at installation
and in the future when renovating or repairing.
Designing the Space
Solid surface can be seamed, routed, shaped and
thermoformed, so it allows for more complex
designs and dramatic shapes. Contrasting patterns can be integrated and custom logos and designs inlaid into the surface. Solid Surface provides unique opportunities to truly personalize a space.
Solid surface sink and countertop are
fused to form a one-piece look
and
water-resistant seam.
Sinks
Solid surface sinks can be chemically-bonded to
the surface creating a smooth, one-piece
look from countertop to sink. There are no
grout lines, lips or recesses to collect bacteria
and mold. Restroom vanities and office kitchenettes stay looking fresh and new for longer.

Seams
There is no grout to clean, and
liquids cannot penetrate the surface. Because Solid Surface seams are bonded chemically, they can be finished to a smooth, inconspicuous joint where moisture and dirt can't collect.
Edge options are virtually
unlimited with solid surface.

Edges
Complex, decorative edges are formed by
fusing two pieces of Solid Surface material together. With
solid surface, color and
design matching between
pieces is typically very
good, if not exact. Seams are
smooth and very inconspicuous. Using a router, your fabricator can carve or sculpt the edge almost like wood, giving you options to coordinate with other trim and details.
Stain Resistance
Since Solid Surface is nonporous, stains rarely seep into
the surface. Most stains can be removed with soap and water, or buffed away.

inconspicuously repaired by your
certified installer. Trivets are
recommended by solid surface

against exposure to extreme heat.

Care/Repairability
Solid surface does not require sealing or
special cleaning products. Soap and water will
wipe away most stains. Minor scratches and
burns can be buffed away without impacting the look or finish. More
serious damage usually can be
inconspicuously repaired by your certified
installer. You should refer to your warranty
regarding coverage for any
repairs.
Note: Surfaces with a gloss or
semi-gloss finish may
require more maintenance
than a matte or satin finish
- scratches may be more
apparent and require a more
detailed buffing technique.
Darker colors also may
require more maintenance.
