How to Order
With your unique designs and Wilsonart’s advanced custom laminate process, any laminate surface can become a work of art. The following general guidelines will help you get started and lead you through the ordering and production process. As always, please contact Wilsonart prior to sending your disk and/or information so we can review your order and ensure that it’s processed correctly and to your satisfaction.
- Wilsonart will help you determine which laminate type is right for your specific project.
- Wilsonart will then help you determine the appropriate size of laminate sheet for your specific project. Sheets of custom laminate are available in 36" and 48" widths by 8', 10' and 12' lengths. For larger sizes, please contact the Custom Laminate department for approval/clarification.
- Download (in pdf format) the Formatting Guide on submitting artwork for custom laminate.
- Download (in pdf format) and complete the Project Order Form.
- Please enclose all relevant information (See Format section above) and hard copies of all images for proofing.
- Files for output can also be sent via email. Our email address for receiving graphic files is customlaminate@wilsonart.com. We can only accept messages that are smaller than 3MB. Compress your files using WinZip or Stuffit.
- Once order is placed, you’ll receive a 15" x 19" sample proof for color and resolution approval.
- Allow four to six weeks from the receipt of an approved layout and order for custom laminate to ship from our manufacturing plant.
- You will be directed to your local Wilsonart Distributor to handle the material purchase and shipping.
- Custom Laminate tends to be more brittle than conventional laminate, so it must be handled more carefully. Otherwise, Custom Laminate installs just like conventional laminate. For specific installation instructions, view the technical data/specs in the laminate section of wilsonart.com. Also, contact Wilsonart to evaluate the suitability of postforming your specific application.
When creating custom laminate, the digital process is most commonly used. However, silkscreen processes are also available. Talk to your Wilsonart Custom Laminate Services representative to find out which process is most appropriate for your specific design and/or application.
Each custom laminate piece conforms to the relevant standards of the American National Standards Institute/National Electrical Manufacturers Association (ANSI/NEMA) LD3-1995, for thickness, performance properties and appearance.
